Rome, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Colosseum…you know what they say, “All roads lead to Rome.” Maybe they do for there is so much to see here it’s going to take some planning to see as much as we can. And by the 4th day of our tour, we shall be touring the Vatican and it’s museums along with the Sistine Chapel and even Michelangelo’s mural of The Last Judgement. From the legendary Colosseum to the rocky cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, take in the best of southern Italy. Uncover classic Rome’s myriad treasures and embark on an in-depth guided visit of the spectacular Colosseum.
There are several “free” evenings planned in Rome and during one of them no doubt several will want to walk over to the famous Trevi Fountain. They say if you make a wish and toss a coin over your shoulder into the fountain your dream will come true.
Next, we make the trip south by luxury motor coach along the stunning Amalfi Coast. After checking into our hotel in Amalfi, there are shops galore all within short walking distance. On another day we made a dash over to Sorrento. You can almost hear Dean Martin singing. Such a beautiful village on the hill above the sea.
If the weather is just right, you may elect an option for sailing on the local ferry over to the Isle of Capri where you will enjoy lunch and a local orientation guided tour before setting out on your own adventure. Beaches like nowhere else the world await.
